Maria Elena Bello is an American actress from the United States. Permanent Midnight (1998) and Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly (2006), The Cooler (2004), A History of Violence (2006), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008). Grown Ups (2010), Prisoners (2013). Lights Out (2016). Bello was a prominent figure in the world of television as Dr. Anna Del Amico in the medical drama ER (1997-1998) as well with other starring roles such as Michelle McBride in the first season (2016) of Goliath and Jacqueline Sloane, Special Agent on NCIS from 2017 to 2021. Bello was born April 18 1967 in Norristown in Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Kathy Bello, a nurse at school and teacher, and Joe Bello, a contractor.Her father is Italian American, with roots in Montella, Italy, and her mother is Polish American.She was raised in a working-class, Catholic family and graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. [7][8] She majored in political sciences at Villanova University. Bello was a stage actor in New York and continued to improve her skills after graduation. Bello was married to Dan McDermott and has a son named Jackson. In November 2013, Bello wrote about her former partner Clare Munn's sexual relationship.
